Welcome to the Catholic Churches in Vernon and Area!Our Spiritual Community is made up of Five parishes all praising & worshipping
God our Father. Father Peter Nguyen is the Priest that Serves St. James in Vernon and Our Lady of the Valley
Parish in Coldstream. Father Vincent Asomugha serves Sacred Heart Parish in Lumby, as well as St Benedict's and St Theresa's
on Westside Road. All five parishes are part of the main diocese of The Roman Catholic Diocese of Kamloops.
At St. James
and Our Lady of the Valley Parishes you will find Knights of Columbus Council's as well as Catholic Womens League Chapters.
Both groups are very active and always welcome new members. There is also ample opportunity to be involved in our many Ministry
services such as Lectors, Musicians, Altar servers and Ministers of Holy Communion to name a few. We are also fortunate to
have our own Catholic School here in Vernon.

the Chaplain for the Knights of Columbus St. James Council 4949, and aslo a member of the 4th Degree John Miles Assemly 2064
since 1981. Father Dale a very strong supporter of the Knights of Columbus helping St. James Council 4949 with his support
to follow Father Michael J. McGivney, Founder of the Knights of Columbus, footsteps.
